Bugs are disgusting, everybody hates bugs. But do you know who loves them? Flick. This is an NPC who shows up to your island every now and again, and if you have a tendency to catch a lot of bugs on your island, you’ll want to sell them to him for a profit. Here’s everything you need to know about Flick in Animal Crossing New Horizons, along with his bug prices and collectibles.
Flick in Animal Crossing New Horizons
Just like CJ, the fishing enthusiast, along with all the other random NPCs in the game, Flick will randomly show up to your island with no warning at all. When he does appear, he’ll usually be on the main part of your island, and will be willing to buy any bugs you catch.
Unlike CJ, however, Flick doesn’t appear to have any challenges for you when he just shows up to buy bugs or take collectible orders. With that in mind, you can just sell off your entire bug stock right when he arrives.
Flick’s Bug Prices
We haven’t been able to sell a whole ton of bugs to Flick just yet, but here are all the prices for the bugs we’ve managed to sell so far. This list will be updated as we get more.
- Peacock Butterfly – 3,750 Bells
- Mantis – 645 Bells
- Tiger Butterfly – 360 Bells
- Honeybee – 300 Bells
- Ladybug – 300 Bells
- Common Butterfly – 240 Bells
- Stinkbug – 180 Bells
- Yellow Butterfly – 240 Bells
- Paper Kite Butterfly – 1,500 Bells
- Orchid Mantis – 3,600 Bells
- Tiger Beetle – 2,250 Bells
Also similar to CJ, Flick will pay more money for your bugs than Timmy and Tommy at Nook’s Cranny. From our experience, the Peacock Butterfly seems to be the best way to farm up some quick money.
As long as you have some hybrid flowers around you, Peacock Butterflies should spawn pretty regularly. Given the frequency of their spawn rate and how easy they are to catch, you can rack up your Bells pretty quickly.
Getting Collectibles
Similar to CJ, you can also put in collectible orders with Flick. He won’t charge you any Bells for putting in an order, but you do need to give him three of the same kind of bug for a collectible. Hand them over, and the collectible will be in your mailbox the next day.
The collectible is essentially just a small display model of whichever bug you choose, and can be displayed in your house like any other piece of furniture.
That’s all you need to know about how Flick works in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Be sure to search for Twinfinite or check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
