With Lost Ark finally making its way to the West, following a couple years of exclusivity in South Korea, the MMORPG has exploded in popularity. With this, players have faced a number of issues trying to play the game, namely the Lost Ark Error 10027.

This error isn’t uncommon, especially if you’re playing on any of the EU servers. Because Lost Ark requires players to remain connected to its servers at all times, facing this error can prevent you from playing the game at all, which has caused the game to suffer from a ton of negative user reviews on Steam. While not the only reason for the negative reviews, it doesn’t appear to be helping the game’s reception with players.

Lost Ark Error 10027 Explained

Error 10027 occurs when the servers are full and you’re unable to connect.

The error code is accompanied by the following text:

“Cannot connect to the sever due to heavy traffic.”

This has been particularly problematic on the EU servers, where players have found themselves in queues in the tens of thousands just trying to log in to start playing.

Error 10027, therefore, occurs when the queue to login to your server is full, and so you’re simply turned away.

In short, it’s not you, it’s Lost Ark’s servers that are to blame for the problem.

Fixing Error 10027

With this being an issue with the servers simply being busy, there’s nothing you can really do to ‘fix’ error 10027. Instead, you’ve simply got to be patient and wait in the queue until you’re finally logged in.

The good news is that developer Smilegate and Amazon Publishing have been working hard to resolve the server issues for Lost Ark, and have just now completed maintenance aimed at providing “added stability improvements for EU Central servers,” which have been some of the worst affected.

Maintenance has been completed and the servers are back online. Thank you for your patience. https://t.co/ZxqS7K5vxq

This doesn’t guarantee that you’re never going to see error 10027 in Lost Ark again, especially if you’re playing on non-EU servers, but with a bit of luck, things should begin improving sooner rather than later.
