Deathloop, the latest (and hopefully greatest) from Arkane Studios, the team that brought you the Dishonored games, has finally arrived on PS5 and PC. Fortunately, for those pulling for it over the last couple of years, it seems like both critics and fans are on the same page: it’s a great game. If you’re at this guide, though, you’ve probably already jumped into Deathloop, or at least are thinking about it, and are wondering if there is a New Game Plus in Deathloop? Here’s everything you need to know.
Is There New Game Plus in Deathloop?
Let’s jump right to the point, there is nothing that resembles a traditional new game plus in Deathloop. After you beat the game there won’t be a harder game mode that allows you to carry skills or items over or anything like that.
That said, the entire gameplay loop of, erm, Deathloop is that you’re experimenting with different ways to tackle each of the game’s areas, mixing things up such as weapon loadouts and the time of day you approach your mission.
So in that sense, Deathloop sort of does have a new game plus built-in, just not in the way that you’re imagining.
That is everything you need to know about the status or lack thereof of a new game plus in Deathloop. Sorry we had to be the bearer of bad news on this one, but at least you have your answer now.
