How to Get the Neuromod Fabrication Plan Fast in Prey

While you’ll unlock the Neuromod Fabrication Plan as part of Prey’s story, if you’re willing to go on a bit of an adventure, you can get it far earlier. To do this, you’ll need to make sure you’ve got the Huntress Boltcaster. You’ll also need a password to get into the Volunteer Quarters, but we’ll tell you exactly where to find that in this guide.

First, let’s get that door code. Make your way up towards your office and go straight into Bianca Goodwin’s Executive Suite just down the corridor. In an email, you’ll find a passcode you need to get the Neuromod Fabrication Plan.

With the Volunteer Quarters code safe in hand, make your way over to the Neuromod Division where you found your first Neuromod. You need to get to the second floor here, so either repair and use the Grav Lifts or use your GLOO Gun to climb up.

Once you’re up here, locate the Volunteer Quarters door and enter the code. You’ll enter a pitch-black room, but you want to head over to your left behind the office desk. Here, you should find a maintenance access space you can crawl through. At the end of this passage, use your GLOO Gun once more to get to the second floor.

You’ll find yourself in a lab-like area now. Smash the window on the left to get into the Fabrication unit. There are two corrupted Operators here and a Telepath down below, so stay quiet and sneak on by. At the end of this upper corridor, you’ll find another office belonging to Halden Graves. This is where the Neuromod Fabrication Plan is tucked away. Rather than trying the door, jump onto the ledge just by the window overlooking this room. Smash the window with your Wrench and then use your Huntress Boltcaster to fire a foam arrow at the door’s manual override.

With the door now open, head on in, grab the Neuromod Fabrication Plans from the table, grab anything else valuable and head back the way you went.

You’re now able to use the Neuromod Fabrication Plans to craft these handy self-upgrades whenever you like at a Fabricator. These are pretty pricey, though, so spend your Materials wisely.

That’s all you need to know to get the Neuromod Fabrication Plans quickly in Prey. For more tips, tricks, and information on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki guide.
