Ubisoft‘s anarchic open-world shooter, Far Cry 6, dropped recently and it’s receiving lots of praise from critics. While the majority of your time will be spent battling against an unruly regime across the fictional Caribbean island of Yara, you’ll be doing plenty of exploring on your adventure, too. But what happens if you’re climbing a mountain and you want to get down quickly? Well, you can always use your handy parachute, of course! So, for those wondering, here’s how to use the parachute in Far Cry 6. Let’s get into it!
How to Use the Parachute in Far Cry 6
To use the parachute in Far Cry 6, just press the Circle button on a PlayStation controller or the B button on an Xbox controller while you’re in mid-air. This will deploy your parachute which will slow your descent downwards, meaning you won’t take any fall damage. During this time, you’ll also have ample opportunity to pop off a few rounds if there are any pesky hostiles nearby.
When you pull your parachute, you won’t be able to travel as far in any direction. Instead, it tends to just drop you very close to where you currently are. If you want to glide through the air, you’ll want to get the wingsuit instead.
It’s worth noting that you only get the parachute after completing the mission ‘Du or Die’ which is roughly an hour into the main story. In other words, it’s not immediately available to you off the bat.
But that’s about everything you need to know about how to use the parachute in Far Cry 6. For more tips, tricks, and guides, search for Twinfinite, or head on over to our dedicated wiki for the game.
