If you’ve beaten Spiritfarer, you were likely surprised to see a prompt for a post-game quest pop up after watching the credits roll and returning to the title screen. This surprise probably turned to confusion once you went back into the game and didn’t know how to start it, which is why we’re here to help with a guide on how to start the Postscripta quest in Spiritfarer.

How to Start the Postscripta Quest in Spiritfarer

Starting the Postscripta quest in Spiritfarer can be a finicky process, but the best way to trigger it is to dive back into the game and play it normally for a bit.

This means taking your boat back out from the area around the Everdoor and engaging in activities until a day or two has passed in-game. It doesn’t matter what you do so long as time passes, so you could gather materials for Francis’ errands, speak to Albert and listen to his jokes at the Shipyard or sit around on the deck of your ship doing nothing in particular.

After a few days have passed, you should receive a posthumous letter from the spirit Elena. It will give you some tasks to complete in exchange for valuable rewards and a 100 percent completion of the game, and said tasks will then appear in your log under the Postscripta questline.

That’s all there is to it really. It’s not an integral part of the narrative you’ll need to complete to understand the plot, and it’s meant to be more of a pallet cleanser following the heavy conclusion of the game’s later Spirit questlines.

Hopefully this cleared up how to start the Postscripta questline in Spiritfarer. For more on the game, check out some of our other guides on hot topics like how to get diamonds and whether or not you should tell Astrid about Giovanni.
