What Do Mystical Shells Do and How Do You Get Them in Pokemon Quest
Pokemon Quest is Gamefreak’s new spin-off title in the Pokemon universe that has you controlling cube-shaped pocket monsters and exploring Tumblecube Island, completing expeditions, battling other Pokemon, obtaining materials, cooking up recipes, and befriending new Pokemon for your expedition team.
Catching Legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Quest is done in a quite a different way than the mainline Pokemon games. You have to get a certain material that is dropped from battling legendaries which are then used to cook a certain meal to attract one of the five legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Quest: Moltres, Articuno, Zapdos, Mew, and Mewtwo.
You won’t be able to befriend or battle any of these rare Pokemon until you hit the twelfth area of the game, but once you do, you’ll want to keep fighting these bosses until they drop Mystical Shells. These mystical shells are the main ingredient for making The Ambrosia of Legends, which is created by throwing in one mystical shell with four other materials. Using this will attract the legendary Pokemon to your camp, but you will have to do this multiple times in order to get all five of the legendaries, especially if you want them to be a specific level and have certain stats. And if you’re feeling really lucky, you can keep cooking up the Ambrosia of Legends to perhaps obtain a shiny version of one of these rare Pokemon, it’s all up to how much time you have on your hands.
That’s all you need to know about getting Mystical Shells in Pokemon Quest!
