What Vileplume’s Weakness Is in Pokemon Let’s Go
Each ‘mon has their own set of strengths and weaknesses that make them formidable fighters in combat. Vileplume is a powerful creature that can intoxicate its foes while absorbing their health. If you’re having trouble fighting one, here’s what Vileplume’s weakness is in Pokemon Let’s Go.
If you’re new to the series, it’s worth noting that some Pokemon have two particular types that make them a bit trickier to deal with. Charizard, for example, is both Flying and Fire while Dewgong is both Water and Ice.
You’ll want to keep both types in mind when fighting creatures like these in Pokemon Let’s Go. The same can be said for Vileplume, who is both a Grass and Poison-Type.
However, since it has two types, it also opens up the possibility for more weaknesses. If you use moves that are effective against either Grass or Poison-Types, you’ll deal more damage. Here are all of Vileplume’s weaknesses in Pokemon Let’s Go:
- Psychic
- Flying
- Ice
- Fire
You won’t be fighting Vileplume very often in the main story, but it is one of the major boss fights in Pokemon Let’s Go. Once you reach Celadon City, you can fight Erika who has a Vileplume as her heavy hitter. It can sap your Pokemon’s health with Mega Drain, so make sure not to bring along any Water or Rock-Types in your party.
If you’re playing online, however, you may come across a few of them here and there. The biggest threat is that it comes with many different powder attacks, leaving your team poisoned, paralyzed, or even lulling them to sleep.
How to Get Vileplume
If you want one of these ‘mons on your team, you can either get it by importing one from Pokemon GO or leveling your Oddish. You can only catch an Oddish in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu, so Eevee players will have to get one through trading.
Once your Oddish reaches level 21, it will evolve into a Gloom. From there, use a Leaf Stone to evolve your Gloom into a Vileplume in Pokemon Let’s Go.
That’s pretty much everything you need to know about Vileplume’s weaknesses. For more tips and tricks on Pokemon Let’s Go, be sure to check out our expansive wiki for a ton of other useful guides.
