Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee are full remakes of the original Game Boy titles, but there are a few new things to look forward to. While the original games didn’t have much of a post game after becoming Champion, things are a little different here. Here are all the things you can do after beating Pokemon Let’s Go.

Things to Do After Beating Pokemon Let’s Go

Fill Out Your Pokedex

With Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee, it’s easier than ever to become a true Pokemon master and catch ’em all. Now that you no longer have to be careful with weakening monsters before catching them, consider taking the time to revisit all the different areas in the Kanto region, and catch the creatures you missed out on your first time through.

Aside from just appealing to your completionist tendencies, there’s a reward for filling out the Pokedex as well. Once you’ve caught all 151 creatures, head back to Celadon City and talk to the Game Director on the top floor of the office building. You’ll be rewarded with a Shiny Charm, which makes it much easier for you to find and catch shiny Pokemon all over Kanto.

As you probably already know, shiny Pokemon are incredibly rare, and they’re basically specially colored versions of regular Pokemon you meet out in the wild. With the Shiny Charm, it’ll be easier for you to find these creatures and show them off to other trainers.

Beat the Master Trainers

After beating the Elite Four and becoming the Pokemon Champion, there will be more challenges to overcome. If you take the time to backtrack in the Kanto region, you’ll find that there are new Master Trainers to be found all over the place. These Master Trainers are easily recognizable by the little speech bubble above their heads, with a sprite of the Pokemon that they’ve specialized in training.

Be warned, though. These Master Trainers are incredibly tough to beat, and you certainly shouldn’t be fooled by their unassuming Weedles or Rattatas. Master Trainer Pokemon have tricky move sets that will certainly trip you up, and the battles will not be as straightforward as you might think.

Furthermore, you can only fight these Master Trainers with the Pokemon they’re specialized in. This means that if you find the Weedle Master Trainer, you can only fight them with a Weedle of your own, and you can’t use any items either. This is a very time-consuming process, but it’s definitely worth it for players who are looking for a real challenge.

Get the Mega Stones

Before you start hunting down the three iconic trainers in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee, you might want to consider grabbing some Mega Stones to give yourself a leg up first. Mega Evolutions were first introduced in Pokemon X and Y, where players could trigger a Mega Evolution once per battle, and basically get access to a super-powered version of that particular Pokemon.

Most of the Mega Stones can only be obtained pretty late in Pokemon Let’s Go, and some are locked off until you beat the Elite Four. But to get you started, Blue will hand over the Stones for the original three starter Pokemon once you complete the Gym on Cinnabar Island.

Once you reach the Pokemon League, there’s a store owner there who will also sell you the rest of the Mega Stones, but do note that this doesn’t include the one for Mewtwo.

Catch the Legendary Birds

Aside from trying to catch ’em all and filling out your Pokedex, you can also catch the three legendary bird Pokemon in this game: Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno. All three will appear at level 50, and you’ll have to battle them before you can actually attempt to catch them.

They’re all pretty easy to find, but bear in mind that you need to obtain all the Secret Techniques before you can access their locations.

Moltres can be found on the third level of Victory Road, in a pathway hidden behind a boulder near Officer Jenny.

Articuno can be found on the Seafoam Islands, which are east of Cinnabar Island. Make your way to the very bottom of the cave to find it.

Lastly, Zapdos can be found at the Power Plant, which is found at the end of the water path on Route 10, right before the Rock Tunnel entrance. The Power Plant is a pretty huge labyrinth, but Zapdos will be waiting for you at the end of the road.

Beat Blue, Green, and Red

Lastly, if the Master Trainers are tiring you out a little, you could try going after Blue, Green, and Red as well.

Blue is the easiest to find of the three, and he will take the role of Gym Leader at Viridian City once you’ve defeated Giovanni. After that, you’ll be able to fight him daily.

Green’s appearance is tied with Mewtwo. After beating the game, go back to Cerulean Cave to find Mewtwo and catch it. When you leave Cerulean Cave, an NPC will inform you that another trainer has entered the cave in search of that legendary Pokemon as well. Head back inside, and you’ll find Green available for battle. After beating her, you’ll also receive the Mega Stone for Mewtwo, so this is definitely worth your time.

Lastly, Red can also be found in the game. However, you’ll need to beat at least six Master Trainers before you can get him to show up. After you’ve done that, head back to Indigo Plateau and you’ll find him standing outside the Pokemon League building.

And those are all of the post game things you can do after beating the game. Be sure to check our Pokemon Let’s Go guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
