The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is finally being released for the Switch this month, marking the first time these games will be available in English-speaking territories after previously being a Japan-only 3DS mini series. They follow protagonist Ryunosuke Naruhodo as he travels to Britain to learn more about the legal system there and gets caught up in all kinds of shenanigans. Here’s what you need to know about Story Mode in Great Ace Attorney Chronicles.

Using Story Mode in Great Ace Attorney Chronicles

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is a visual novel in every sense of the word. You’ll be reading through tons of text presented in dialogue boxes, pointing and clicking around on the screen to find evidence and hopefully turn up new clues about the case you’re working on, then attempt to defend your client as best as you can in court.

These cases can get plenty tricky, though, as you’ll need to cross-examine witnesses and try to find contradictions in their statements in order to progress. Finding and presenting the right pieces of evidence at the right time can be difficult as well, but this game offers a way out of that if you just want to enjoy the story for what it is.

By pressing the + button to bring up the pause menu, you can go to the Reader option and toggle Story Mode on. With Story Mode active, you’ll then be able to progress through the game without needing to worry about making any decisions at all as the game will take care of that for you. This completely removes the challenge of the game, but it does make it a good fit for anyone who just wants to experience the story for themselves, or anyone finding themselves suck on a particular case.

You can toggle it on or off whenever you want, so feel free to make use of it whenever you find yourself stuck in the game.

That’s all you need to know about how Story Mode works in Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
