After a long wait and a couple of delays, Fire Emblem Three Houses has finally launched on the Nintendo Switch. The game comes with an excellent story, along with some choices you’ll have to make along the way. If you’re wondering whether you should choose ghost, demon, or mortal in Fire Emblem Three Houses, here’s what you need to know.
Ghost, Demon, or Mortal in Fire Emblem Three Houses
This is the first decision presented to you in the game, and… it literally doesn’t matter at all.
If you pick the ghost or demon options, Sothis just tells you to cut the bullshit and stop lying, and you’ll have to make the choice again. This means that you’re basically railroaded into choosing the mortal option.
When you pick the right option, Sothis will then make a comment about how she’s not familiar with your kind, and the story will continue as per normal. You’ll get to pick your character’s gender, name, and date of birth.
As far as we can tell, this decision doesn’t have any sort of impact on the game or the story at all, nor does it have any far-reaching consequences that turn up later on. Since you’re forced into making only one correct choice, there’s no way to alter the outcome of this decision, so there’s no need to worry about it.
When you do reach an important point in the story where you’re forced to make a crucial decision, however, rest assured that the game will definitely let you know. Everything else is pretty much inconsequential.
That’s all you need to know about choosing the ghost, demon, or mortal options in Fire Emblem Three Houses. Be sure to check our Fire Emblem Three Houses guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
