Feebas – Pokemon Sun and Moon
Pokemon Sun and Moon sees the return of a number of older Pokemon to join the ranks of those native to the Alola islands. One such ‘mon is Feebas, the old-looking fish Pokemon that is also incredibly rare to catch. Unfortunately for those wanting to add it to their Pokedex, it’s still rare over in Alola.
The best chance you’ll have of catching yourself a Feebas is to head over to the Brooklet Hill area and make sure you’ve got the Fishing Rod that can be obtained from completing the Water Trial. You’ll want to look out for a rippling fishing spot in Brooklet Hill. You may not get one right away, but keep on fishing in these locations and with a bit of luck a Feebas should eventually show up. Its catch rate is incredibly low, speculated to be 1% in normal fishing spots and 5% for special spots, so don’t be disheartened if after a good few attempts one still hasn’t shown up.
A good method is to head to the second to last zone of Brooklet Hill, fish up its bubbling spot, then walk South out of the zone, then pop back into the zone. This will respawn the special fishing spot, and you can try again. You can also save in front of one of these rippling spots and reload the game until you catch a Feebas. We prefer the zone spawn method, since it’ll let you keep all of the Pearls and Heart Scales you fish up.
While it may seem like a lot of time wasted on what looks like a weak water-type, evolving Feebas nets you the impressive and powerful Milotic should you evolve it.
