Created by indie developer Luis Antonio and published by Annapurna Interactive, Twelve Minutes is a new point-and-click adventure game about a man stuck in a time loop and is forced to relive the same evening over and over again. As you find out more about the characters involved, you’ll eventually discover a watch hidden in the apartment. Here’s what to do with the watch in Twelve Minutes.

What to Do With the Watch in Twelve Minutes

Do be warned that this article contains major spoilers for the end of the game, so don’t read on if you’d like to figure out the puzzle for yourself.

Once you find the watch, you may think that you’re supposed to figure out some way to hand over the watch to the cop peacefully and resolve the issue, but that’s not the end of the game. First off, once you’ve successfully ambushed the cop and exhausted all dialogue options with him to properly prove your wife’s innocence with the polaroid, start another loop.

At the start of the loop, call Bumblee with your phone and say that the wife is innocent, then talk to the wife and tell her everything you know and that she’s innocent. Once you’ve hashed things out, the cop will show up, and the wife will speak with him before handing the watch over.

The next step is to figure out what the nanny’s name is, and you can do that by ambushing the cop again and showing him the onesie that the wife bought. At this point, once you’ve figured out the truth, you can try admitting everything to the cop and giving him the watch, but that will just bring you back to the start of the loop again.

What you want to do is take the watch, then stare it for a few seconds until the scene transitions and takes you back in time to a meeting with the father. Depending on your choices here, you’ll either reach an ending or go back to the start of the loop.

If you reach the ending, the game will start up again, but this time, the man will be alone in the apartment. You can still get the watch in the ventilator grid, and wind the hand so that it’s two minutes before 12. Doing so will take you back to the father’s office yet again, where you can pick another dialogue option and restart the loop.

That’s all you need to know about what to do with the watch in Twelve Minutes. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
