If you’re looking to grind out a final chunk of XP to help you level up your Chapter 2 Season 7 Battle Pass, you’ll want to complete all of the Fortnite week 14 challenges. As the alien invasion event edges closer, players will need to help foil the mole’s plans, and to do so you’ll need to ‘Shut Down Power to Radar Dishes (2).’ In this guide, we’ll show you how to shut down power to radar dishes in Fortnite, so you can earn that 30,000 XP.

Shutting Down Power to Radar Dishes in Fortnite

This challenge is actually relatively straightforward as long as you know where the radar dishes around the Fortnite map. These can be found at the IO Bases, of which there are seven scattered across the map. We’ve circled these on the map below:

Once you’ve landed at an IO Base, you want to make your way to the base of the radar dish itself. Here, you should find a little box with an antenna sticking out of the top with a green light on it.

Three guesses what this is. That’s right, it’s the power supply to the dish.

All you need to do is hack away at this with your harvester, or destroy it with any of your other weapons and you should shut down power to the radar dish.

It’s worth noting that once one player does this in a match, no other player will be able to do so. As such, we recommend going to the ones most out of the way of the flight of the Battle Bus in your match. This changes with each game, but we’d suggest the one in the very southwest corner of the map (south of Weeping Woods) and the one in Stealthy Stronghold, as these tend to be a little less busy than the others.

You only need to shut down power to two radar dishes in Fortnite in order to complete the week 14 challenge. Doing so will earn you 30,000 XP to help you level up your Battle Pass before the season ends next week.
