How to Get Wood in My Time at Portia

My Time at Portia offers up gameplay in the same vein as Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, and other life sims. Players arrive in a quaint, quiet town and must use the tools/land/workshop left by their older relative to restore the place to its former glory. You won’t be able to do just about anything in My Time at Portia until you’ve got yourself some wood and made some tools.

Wood can be obtained in a few different ways in My Time at Portia, but you’ll only have one option available to you at the very start of the game. You’ll want to look around on the ground for piles of wood. Since you don’t have an axe to cut down trees or bushes at the start of the game, you’ll have to do this until you craft them. These are scattered in the fields nearby your workshop, so just have a wander around and then use the left mouse button, or A on your Xbox One controller, to pick up wood. It shouldn’t take too long until you’re free to chop away trees at will.
