Valheim is quickly gaining popularity as an early access exploration and survival game on Steam. You’ll need to craft armor to survive in this procedurally-generated world. If you’re just starting out, you may have some questions about this, including how to wear the armor after you’ve crafted it. Here’s exactly what you need to know about how to equip armor in Valheim.
How to Equip Armor in Valheim
Once you’ve crafted a piece of armor on your workbench, you’ll need to actually equip it before you can start taking advantage of its stats. Luckily, it’s super simple to do this.
All you have to do is open your inventory and right click on the piece of armor that you want to equip. That will automatically equip it to your character.
If you are using an Xbox controller, it’s still a simple process. You’ll just need to press X while selecting the piece or armor in your inventory instead. This will equip it to your character.
Even while the armor is equipped, you may want to know that the item will continue to take up a slot in your inventory. Additionally, it will still count as weighted while equipped to you, so this isn’t a good way to get out of any heavy weight restrictions without discarding a piece of armor or weapons.
You are also free to choose another piece or armor to put on with the same method and it will replace the one you are currently wearing.
That’s all you need to know about how to equip armor in Valheim. For more tips and tricks about the game, be sure to check out our Valheim guide wiki.
