With the recent explosion of Phasmophobia’s popularity, the player base numbers have spiked on the solo project from Kinetic Games. Although it may seem simple, the in-game tutorial can be quite confusing for first time players, as the information given seems to assume a basic level of knowledge about the game and modern-day ghost hunting. Given the confusion, here is a guide on how to turn on your shoulder mounted flashlight in Phasmophobia.

How To Turn on Your Shoulder Mounted Flashlight in Phasmophobia

The first and most important thing to do in order to mount a flashlight in Phasmophobia is to have one in your 3-slot inventory. To do this, walk over to a flashlight and hit E.

This will bring the item into your hands, allowing you to carry it into the location. Even though it looks like the characters have a mounted flashlight at all times, this only works if you are carrying one in your inventory.

Next, you will need to grab at least one other piece of equipment that you would like to use, again using the E key. This can be any equipment in the game, including the IR flashlight.

Once you have all your equipment ready, you simply have to switch to any other piece of equipment you are carrying, and press T by default. This key bind is named “Flashlight” in the menu if you wish to change it.

You will still be able to activate your flashlight with a right mouse click, like any other equipment in Phasmophobia, if you change this. This key bind will turn on your flashlight, or your strong flashlight even while carrying another item.

Once this is done, you are free to roam around the house, hunting ghosts with enough light to at least see the walls.

That’s all you need to know about how to turn on your shoulder mounted flashlight in Phasmophobia. If you want more information on the game, check back at Twinfinite for more tips and guides.
