Fans of the popular mobile game Azur Lane playing on the English series have been waiting for a long time for a specific group of shipgirls.
Today Yostar took to Twitter to tease their arrival this month.
As you can see below, we only get silhouettes and initials, but those familiar with the Japanese and Chinese version of the game might recognize them.
From left to right we have Georgia, Seattle, Friedrich der Große, Kitakaze, Gascogne, and Azuma.
This means that we’re getting the second season of the research shipgirls, which has been implemented in Japan and China earlier this year within a crossover with World of Warships.
You can see what they look like in the gallery below.
On top of that, a new ship is coming with the daily login bonuses, the destroyer Arashio.
If you’re unfamiliar with Azur Lane, it’s is a free-to-play mobile horizontal scrolling shooter/RPG hybrid currently available for iOS and Android.
If you’d like to learn more about it, you can read our recent interview with Yostar’s director of operations.
If you’re curious about the franchise’s popularity in Japan, you can check out my report about the recent anniversary event that pretty much literally invaded Akihabara.
If your interes leans more towards console and PC games, Azur Lane: Crosswave has already been released for for PS4 in Japan, and it’s coming to the west next year with a PC version on top. You should definitely read the interview we pubished yesterday, in which Compile Heart President Norihisa Kochiwa talks in depth about the project.
