With the Labyrinth Warriors event coming to an end, miHoYo is introducing Shadow of the Ancients, which will be live from Nov. 5 to Nov. 15. If you’re looking for details about this upcoming event, we’ve got you covered in the guide below. Here’s everything you need to know about the Shadow of the Ancients event in Genshin Impact, including how to start it, its rewards, and more.
Genshin Impact Shadow of the Ancients Event Guide
You’ll need to be Adventure Rank 30 or higher and have completed the A Flower Blooms in a Prison quest to have access to this event. This quest happens fairly early on in the Inazuma Archon Quest storyline, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to get to.
To start the event, you’ll need to speak with Katheryne at the Adventurer’s Guild. She’ll ask you to complete a few investigations and tasks that turn out to be more dangerous than expected, of course.
Shadow of the Ancients plays out in three Phases: Investigative Surveys, Data Sampling, and Live Testing. To begin, there’s a prerequisite quest that needs to be completed. It’ll reward you with Ayesha’s Chaos Prospector, which is a special item that’ll be used during Investigative Surveys at Survey Sites to find Condiction Components. This first Phase is a bit like a scavenger hunt.
The Data Sampling Phase will have you charging Pursina’s Spikes using Electro attacks. These devices will continue to charge until they’re full of Electro energy, but as they charge, enemies will attack.
You’ll need to fend them off while regularly using Electro attacks on the Spikes so that their charge level doesn’t drop to zero. Conversely, the more Electro energy provided, the faster it will charge.
Lastly, the Live Testing Phase will force your team to go toe-to-toe with a Model Ruin Grader enemy that can revive itself. In order to stop this revival, more Pursina’s Spikes will need to be charged within a time limit.
The catch here is that the Run Grader’s abilities will be enhanced each time a Spike is fully charged, so this battle becomes more difficult as it continues.
Shadow of the Ancients Rewards
As usual, this new event will provide Primogems, Mora, Talent level-up material, weapon upgrade material, and more. Additionally, after completing the final Model Ruin Grader challenge, a conclusion quest will be unlocked that’ll offer even more rewards.
That’s everything you need to know about the Shadow of the Ancients event in Genshin Impact, including how to start it and its rewards. Be sure to check out our guide wiki for more tips, tricks, and other useful info on the game.
