How to Get Back to Pallet Town in Pokemon Let’s Go
Just as you did in the original versions of Pokemon Yellow, Blue, and Red, you begin your adventure as a Pokemon trainer in Pokemon Let’s Go from your house in Pallet Town. However, you will need to head back to the town later in the game. Here’s everything you need to know about how to get back to Pallet Town in Pokemon Let’s Go.
Of course, you can return to Pallet Town pretty much whenever you would like by simply backtracking. If you head through all the towns in the opposite way you came, as if you were doing whichever Gyms you’ve already beaten in reverse order, you’ll eventually get back to Pallet Town.
Also, since there are quite a few shortcuts in Pokemon Let’s Go, you will be able to skip towns by going through buildings and by cutting down trees once you have the ability to do so.
However, there is one sure fire way to get back to Pallet Town in Pokemon Let’s Go, but you do not unlock it until you’re about half-way through the game. That way is to fly by unlocking the ability which is now known as Sky Dash.
Sky Dash isn’t an HM in Pokemon Let’s Go, like Fly was in the original game, instead your Pokemon can simply learn the ability without it taking up a spot in their moves.
To get Sky Dash, you’ll have to make it to Celadon City and clear out the Team Rocket Hideout. Once you beat the trainers there and leave, you’ll be able to talk to the man right outside the Rocket Game Corner. He’ll reward you with the Sky Dash move, allowing you to quickly travel back to any area you’ve visited before.
Then, all you need to do is press X to head to the menu and look at the map. Then, if you look for the Pallet Town option, you will then be able to use Sky Dash to go there. After a short animation and a few seconds, you’ll arrive at the town you started at in Pokemon Let’s Go, just as you did in the original games.
That’s all there is to know about how to get back to Pallet Town in Pokemon Let’s Go. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to check out our Pokemon Let’s Go wiki guide.
