How to Get Adhesive in Fallout 76

One of the many different crafting materials you’re going to need at one point or another in Bethesda’s Fallout 76 is adhesive. Be it for building some bits at your CAMP, or for crafting new weapons, upgrades, or carrying out weapon repairs, adhesive will likely crop up in a recipe at some point. Problem is, it’s not exactly clear how to get adhesive in Fallout 76, unless you know what you’re looking for, that is.

Adhesive can be found in a number of different items, but you’ll need to seek these out from around the world. We’ve got a full list of all items containing adhesive in Fallout 76 down below, as well as a means of getting it quickly if you’re able to produce vegetable starch, but more on that later.

All Items Containing Adhesive in Fallout 76

  • Duct Tape – 1
  • Pack of Duct Tape – 4
  • Military Grade Duct Tape – 4
  • Wonderglue -2
  • Economy Wonderglue – 5
  • Sealed Wonderglue – 4
  • Vegetable Starch – 2

The list above contains all of the items we’ve found so far containing adhesive in Fallout 76. The numbers next to them indicate how much adhesive you get from each item when you scrap it.

To scrap these junk items you find around the world, you’ll need to seek out a Weapons Workbench, Armor Workbench, or Tinker Workbench. These can be found at different locations on Fallout 76’s map, or you can craft them yourself at your CAMP so you’ve always got one to hand.

Once you do, it’s then a case of pressing Square on PS4 or X on Xbox One when approaching the bench to enter the ‘Scrap Junk Items’ mode. From here, you then want to either scroll down to the junk item you want to scrap and press X/A, or press the Triangle/Y button to scrap all junk items within your inventory at once.

Either way, you’ll be told what breaking down the junk item will supply you with in Fallout 76 before confirming you want to go ahead and scrap it.

The above items can be found littered around the world, but more often than not we’ve found the variants of Wonderglue to be found in homes, offices, or at workshop-looking areas. Duct tape can also be found in random containers, or at workshop-looking areas, or garages. Think of a place you’d likely find these items in the modern-day real world, and you’ll likely find one or two of these adhesive-containing items in their West Virginia wasteland equivalents in Fallout 76.

How to Get Adhesive Easily in Fallout 76

Rather than tracking down Wonderglue and Duct Tape in Fallout 76, you can make your own source of adhesive pretty easily. All you’ll need to do is go out and begin looking for the following plants and items:

  • Corn (2)
  • Mutfruit (2)
  • Purified Water (1)
  • Tato (2)

Once you’ve got these vegetables and some purified water, you’ll want to return to your CAMP. Here, you’ll want to access the build option, which can be accessed by holding down the touchpad, or pressing the View button on Xbox One, or walking over to your little CAMP machine itself and pressing X/A.

You then want to tab over to the Food menu at the top. If you’ve got the above vegetables and some fertilizer to hand, you should now be able to plant these in the dirt surrounding your CAMP. Do so, and you’ll now not only have a permanent source of these vegetables, which can be good for keeping your hunger gauge filled in Fallout 76, but they also give you an easy means of getting most of the ingredients to make Vegetable Starch.

When you’ve finally got all of these ingredients planted and have a few spares left over in your inventory, it’s then a case of heading to a Cooking Station and heading down to the Utilities option. Under this, you’ll come across Vegetable Starch. Craft this, and you can then break this down at other crafting workbenches for some easy adhesive.
