What the World of Light Map Looks Like in Super Smash Bros Ultimate
Super Smash Bros Ultimate is finally available for the Nintendo Switch, and it features the largest character roster we’ve seen to date. Aside from just fighting other players locally and online, there’s also a rather sizable story mode you can check out. Here’s what the World of Light map looks like in Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
As you can see from our screenshot above, the World of Light map is actually pretty darn massive. Though when you’re zoomed in, you can spot more details on the map itself, as shown below.
The campaign will start you off as Kirby, and you’ll be able to travel around the map to interact with glowing spots. These are basically fights, and you can beat them to unlock new Spirits and fighters.
If you’re not in any real hurry, playing through World of Light will also unlock fighters that you can play with in other modes. This method isn’t quite as efficient as blitzing through Classic Mode and resetting your game every 10 minutes, but it’s still a good way to experience the game for casual players.
As you progress through World of Light in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, you’ll also gain skill points, which can be used to upgrade your attack power to make the fights go a little easier. There are also some branching paths on the map, and you’ll need to think carefully about which route you want to take, as this can determine which fighters you’ll unlock earlier, and which ones will be locked off till later in the campaign.
For the most part, though, you should be able to try out every fight that World of Light has to offer if you explore the map thoroughly. If the game ever gets a little too tough, you can also head into the options menu by pressing the + button, and lowering the difficulty. The difficulty level can also be increased if you want a bit more of a challenge.
