Lost Ark is a popular MMOARPG that’s been out for a few years at this point, but is finally coming to English-speaking territories with Amazon Game Studios taking on publishing responsibilities. The game is set in the fantastical world of Arkesia, where players must locate the titular Lost Ark before it falls into enemy hands. Here’s how to gesture and use emotes in Lost Ark.
You need emotes in every MMO game ever; that’s just a cardinal rule. Emotes and gestures will allow you to express yourself to other players in the game if you don’t feel like using the chat box. In addition to that, certain quests may also require you to gesture at various NPCs in order to progress. Thankfully, using the gesture function is pretty straightforward and easy.
Gesturing and Using Emotes in Lost Ark
For instance, if you want to dance, press the Enter key to bring up the chat box, then type ‘/dance’ and hit Enter to get your character to dance. Make sure to stand in the targeted area before emoting if you’re doing this for a quest.
By pressing Y, you’ll see the full list of emotes and gestures that you currently have access to. From here, you can simply click on the emote you want to use, and your character will use it automatically.
How to Get More Gestures & Emotes
More emotes and gestures can be unlocked in Lost Ark either by purchasing them through the in-game store for money, or unlocking them through quest completion.
You don’t actually need to purchase emotes to progress through the game as all the quest-specific ones should be available to you from the get-go; they just add a bit of flavor to your adventure, especially if you’re planning on playing in a party for the majority of the time.
That’s all you need to know about how to use gestures and emotes in Lost Ark. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
