How to Switch Shoulders in PUBG
In PUBG, your character avatar will fire from his/her right shoulder while appearing on the left side of the screen. This is standard for most first or third-person shooting games. But if you want to switch shoulders from the default set-up, you can do so.
To quickly change between shoulders and which side of the screen your character will appear on when aiming your weapon, toggle the “Q” and “E” keys. Do note that in first-person mode, these keys control your ability to lean, not your shoulder camera swap.
Even if you are a right-handed shooter in real life, you may find a strategic advantage to changing between shoulders during combat. Depending on the situation, it may be advantageous to switch shoulders and afford yourself a better view of combat if there is an obstacle partially blocking your view.
Of course, the other reason you may want to do this is because a right-handed shot actually appears on the left side of the screen, where as in real life your weapon would obviously be on the right. In third-person video games, this is done to position the camera so that it simulates looking down the barrel of the weapon, but for some players, having your character and weapon animation on the right side of the screen feels like a more natural fit. The choice is yours.
