The way you strategically move around the board in Mario Party plays an important role in the result of each game. But if you can’t beat everyone else in the minigames at the end of every turn, then you’re not going to make it very far. Here’s everything you need to know about how to practice minigames in Mario Party Superstars.
How to Practice Minigames in Mario Party Superstars
There are a couple of ways to try your hand at minigames before they matter. By doing this, you’ll be fully prepared to take them on when you’re actually in the heat of battle against your most vicious rivals — like your closest friends and loving family.
Practicing at Mt. Minigame
Right from the main menu, you can find Toad on a little riverboat. Move the cursor over to him and hit A to head up to Mt. Minigame. From there you’ll be able to choose between a bunch of minigame modes, but the one you’ll want to check out is Free Play.
In Free Play you can choose to play any minigame in Mario Party Superstars. For example, if you need some practice on 1v3 minigames as the team of one, then you can just focus on them. There’s also the trio challenge mode that lets you only play 1v3 minigames.
And if you really want a challenge, then you can test your skills online against other people in Survival Mode. This is probably one of the best ways to practice minigames since you’ll be facing off against actual people instead of CPUs
Practicing Mid-Game
This method is certainly much more convenient than going out of your way to practice minigames. Just like in past Mario Party titles, Superstars lets you practice minigames in the menu before the game begins.
Before pressing the + button to enter the competition, you can practice the game as many times as you need to before jumping in. Just remember to be considerate of other people’s time if you’re playing with friends.
Time needed: 1 minute.
