In Far Cry Primal, you take on the role of Takkar, a prehistoric man with the ability to tame wild beasts. He’s like Cesar Milan for the Stone Age.
On your adventures, your pet will follow you come hell or high water. It will stick up for you and take on more than it could chew sometimes. If it gets way in over its head, it could wind up downed. At this point, reviving it is as easy as walking up to the pet and feeding it some meat with Square or X.
However, if it’s down for too long and the meter runs out, your pet is a goner. But don’t worry, Far Cry Primal doesn’t expect you to go hunting for a new beast to tame. That would be way too much of a pain for the rare ones.
No, if your beast is slain in battle for good, all you need to do is revive it. Pull up the beast menu by hitting right on the control pad and highlight your ill-fated pet to revive it. You’ll need red leaves first, though, so be sure to stock up on those.
Congratulations, you have a shiny new replacement pet and, hey, you can even skin the corpse of the last pet. Win-win situation!
