YouTube channel Archipel released another of its Toco Toco documentaries focused on Japanese creators and this time around the video is about NieR: Automata Composer Keiichi Okabe.
As usual with Toco Toco videos, it doesn’t just focus on Okabe as a composer, but it delves into a more personal level as well, giving us charming insight on the man who created the music for so many beloved games.
Okabe-san talks about the beginning of his career and working with Yoko Taro on games like NieR, Drakengard 3, and NieR: Automata. We also get to hear from his colleagues Keigo Hoashi and Ryuichi Takada.
Incidentally, we learn that this is the last Toco Toco documentary. It’ll be interesting to see what the team behind it will do next, but for now, they have not shared their plans.
You can check out the video below. If you want to see more, you can also enjoy the previous documentary featuring the Directors of Devil May Cry 5 and of the Resident Evil 2 remake.
NieR: Automata is currently available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. If you want to know why it’s so good, you should definitely check out our review. The game recently passed four million units shipped.
