Every adventurer needs to be well-rested and full of energy if they’re going to survive in the world of Valheim. For that reason, you’ll want to make sure you understand Valheim’s Comfort system. In this guide, we’ll talk you through everything you need to increase comfort in Valheim.
Increasing Comfort in Valheim
You can increase your comfort level in Valheim with the following items:
- Banners
- Braziers
- Chairs
- Campfire
- Rugs
- Shelter
Ideally, you want to make sure you’ve got a shelter with walls and a roof that can keep you out of the cold. Once you’ve done this, the main thing that’s going to increase your comfort in Valheim is making sure you get a campfire down.
The campfire will keep you warm when it gets cold at night. However, if you’re placing it indoors, you need to make sure there is a gap(s) in your roof or walls to let the smoke out. If you don’t, the smoke can suffocate and kill you… which is the complete opposite of what we’re going for here!
Once you’ve got your campfire, walls, and roof sorted in your shelter, you can begin decorating it to further increase your comfort level. Placing lots of Deer Rugs and Braziers around your sleeping area can help increase your overall comfort level. Now, when you go to sleep, you should be given the Well Rested Buff.
Well-Rested Buff & Why Comfort Matters
The Well-Rested buff allows you to regain health 50% faster and stamina 100% faster when active. You’ll get the well-rested buff whenever you go to sleep in a bed, but if you’ve maxed out your comfort in Valheim, you’ll increase the duration the buff lasts for.
The higher your comfort level, the longer Well-Rested lasts, and given how useful it can be when you’re out grinding materials or taking on one of the boss battles, we’d strongly recommend sorting out your Valheim comfort level as quickly as possible.
That’s everything you need to know in order to increase comfort in Valheim. For more tips and tricks, check out our guide wiki, search for Twinfinite, or see more coverage on the game below.
