How to Craft in Far Cry 5

Similar to the past two games in the series, Far Cry 5 allows you to craft your equipment on the go, just in case you need a handy molotov cocktail in a pinch. The crafting system has been streamlined in this entry, and you no longer need to wade through complicated menus to get to the stuff you want. Also, it’s worth noting that you can’t craft medkits in the game, which means that you still need to scour the world for them.

Items that can be crafted in Far Cry 5 include molotov cocktails, remote explosives, as well as proximity bombs. These can be crafted straight from your weapon wheel, which is accessed by holding down the L1 button (or LB if you’re on Xbox One). From here, use the right stick to highlight one of your explosive slots, then use the d-pad to cycle to the item you want to craft. If you have enough materials for it, as shown on the right side of your screen, you can then hold down the triangle button (Y button on Xbox One) to craft it. Time doesn’t slow down when you have your weapon wheel open though, so you might be left a little vulnerable while crafting. Thankfully, the skill tree contains a perk that speeds up your crafting time.

There are also some craftable items that you’ll access from the Utility menu of the weapon wheel by pressing R1 (RB) while it’s open. We won’t spoil these for you, as you’ll stumble upon them while helping out someone in the Henbane River region of Hope County, but you’ll craft them in the exact same way as above.
