Horizon Forbidden West has arrived, bringing the next chapter in Aloy’s story to PS4 and PS5. With a host of improvements over its predecessor, Horizon Zero Dawn, such as Weapon Techniques, Valor Surges and a swathe of quality of life tweaks, it’s absolutely worth your time if you were a fan of the first game. What remains the same here is the reliance on various resources and crafting materials and that’s likely got players wondering how to increase inventory size in Horizon Forbidden West so you can carry more arrows, ammo and berries to heal yourself with.
Increasing Inventory Size in Horizon Forbidden West
To increase inventory size, you’ll need to go to a workbench located at most settlements and shelters scattered throughout the world. These are marked on your map with an anvil icon, shown in the screenshot below.
Press Square to interact with the workbench and then use the left analog stick to scroll down to the ‘Pouch Upgrades’ option.
You can now upgrade different pouches to increase your carry capacity for ammo and healing items like berries and potions. We’ve listed all of the different pouches you can upgrade and what they hold below so you can focus on upgrading the pouches for the resources you use most.
All Pouch Upgrades
- Light Arrow Quiver – Increases the amount of Warrior Bow ammunition that can be carried.
- Potion Pouch – Increases the amount of Potions that can be carried.
- Shredder Satchel – Increases the amount of Shredder Gauntlet ammunition that can be carried.
