How to Kill Spiders in Metro Exodus
Metro Exodus’ world is host to many unlikeable characters and deadly, mutated horrors looking for their next lunch. While some of them use size and strength to hunt their prey, others favor agility and staying out of sight. Here’s all you need to know about how to kill spiders in Metro Exodus.
Spiders are a recurring nuisance throughout Artyom’s journey. Not only are they fast, but they’re also rather hard to spot until they start chomping on your toes.
While, in theory, they can be killed with any weapon that Artyom can take with him, pinning them down for long enough as to fill them with lead ends up being quite tricky. Luckily, they do have one weakness which, when exploited, also kills them.
Killing spiders in Metro Exodus is best done with light. It turns out that they are scared of it, which makes them run away as soon as you turn your flashlight on, by pressing left on the D-pad, and point it at them.
Not only that, but keeping your flashlight on them as they retreat will gradually wear them down. After five-or-so seconds, they’ll fall onto their backs, turn red on part of their body, and burn to death.
You can also use their fear of light to simply keep them away. If you’re being attacked by two or three at a time, you can keep looking at them as you make your way past them, and they’ll stay away from you.
That’s all you need to know about how to kill spiders in Metro Exodus.
