How to Learn Moves in Pokemon Quest

Pokemon Quest is a more streamlined take on the role-playing series, going for simpler battles rather than turn-based combat. However, Pokemon still use moves to attack enemies, and depending on what you have equipped, these can either be used offensive or defensively. When it comes to learning new moves, things play out a bit differently in this game.

First off, you’ll need to use the Move Learning Training feature located in the “Edit Teams” menu. Pick the ‘mon you want to train in the menus and click the training section. From there, pick Move Learning and you will pull up a new menu with two new moves your pocket monster can learn. You’ll come across a percentage success rate on the screen, along with four slots for “Supporting Pokemon.”

When training, make sure to include ‘mons with the same type as the Pokemon you’re training to increase the success rate. Select the attack you want to replace with a new one and then press “Start Training.” The new attack your Pokemon will learn ultimately depends on their level and evolution state, meaning you can’t actually pick which technique they’re going to learn.

That’s basically the gist of how you learn moves in Pokemon Quest. For more tips and tricks on the game, make sure you search for Twinfinite.
