How to Get an Ancient Fruit and What it’s For

In Stardew Valley, there’s some super rare seed you’re going to want to get your hands on: the Ancient Seed. With its mysterious name and description, it’s a bit confusing what this can do for you. But how do you get an Ancient Fruit?

The Ancient Seed can be found through the power of your pickaxe and the demolition of rocks. When you find one randomly in your mining through rocks endeavors, you’ll see that it’s actually an Artifact. Go ahead and give it to Gunther at the museum. Don’t worry, you’ll get an Ancient Seed right back for your charitable donation. With this, it’s time to plant.

The Ancient Seed, once planted, will yield an Ancient Fruit in 28 days. Once you harvest that, every seven days you will continue to get an Ancient Fruit. Not bad, right? These blue fruits go for 825 coins, 1,031 coins if Silver, and 1,237 coins if Gold. And if you have a keg crafted, you’ll definitely want to put your Ancient Fruit in there. The wait is worth it for a wine that sells for 2,250 coins.
