How to Change the Camera in Star Wars Battlefront 2

Star Wars Battlefront 2 drops you right into massive battles from across the Star Wars series as either a regular trooper or iconic heroes like Luke Skywalker and Darth Maul. Just like the older Battlefront games, you can also switch your view between first person and third person, depending on if you want a wider view of the battlefield or just to be right in the middle of the action. By default you’ll start in first person, but you can change that quite easily.

First off, you can actually change which camera view is your default by going to the options menu, and the Gameplay tab. There you’ll see an option to choose whether you want to always start out in first or third person view. You can also swap these viewpoints at any time during battle, by holding down on the d-pad. This will instantly switch your view from first person to third, and vice-versa, and it also works the same if you’re in a starship. Also, if you just tap down on the d-pad you’ll switch which shoulder the camera is looking over, right or left. Of course, keep in mind that if you play as a hero, you’ll be in third person the entire time.

It might be best to play in a mix of the two cameras, as third person will let you get a larger view of a battle, before swapping into first person for some pinpoint shooting.
