Splatoon 2’s Digital Game Download Size

If you’re thinking about buying Splatoon 2 digitally on your Nintendo Switch, you might be wondering what the file download size is. Especially if you’re using the Switch’s internal storage, and don’t have an SD card for your console just yet. Well, you’ll be pleased to know that the game’s download size is only 3.2GB.

As long as you have a stable internet connection, you should be able to download the full game relatively quickly at home. Furthermore, the game will only take up about a quarter of your storage space on the Switch, assuming you don’t have an SD card inserted. It should be noted that the game already has an update, and if you include your local save data for the title, the total file size for Splatoon 2 should come in at around 3.4GB. Not too terrible at all.

Nintendo has already stated that they will continue to support the game with future updates and content, so the file size will likely increase as we get the DLCs. But at the time of launch, you should be able to download the full game with no worries.
