Today Star Citizen developer Cloud Imperium Games released a new video about the growing space simulator.
One of the juiciest parts of the video is the reveal of the Drake Cutlass Steel, a new variant of Drake’s workhorse that serves as a drop-ship with room for plenty of soldiers and additional weapons.
It will be implemented with the next patch cycle alongside a new hospital in Ara 18, a physics rework for gravlev vehicles, a new (and yet unannounced) vehicle belonging to that category, and the new Jumptown 2.0 dynamic event.
The rest of the video focuses on reviewing 2021, showing all the progress that has been made in developing the game during the past year.
In other Star Citizen news, the crowdfunding total has just passed $422 million and it’s currently sitting on $422,308,680.
The number of registered accounts has recently passed 3.4 million, and it’s at 3,433,955 at the moment of this writing.
As usual, you should keep in mind that it’s known that not all of them are paying players. The number includes free accounts created for a variety of reasons, including Free Fly events like the one that recently ended.
